Your Voice Matters

Whether you're an employer, employee or retired, your voice matters as we adjust to BREXIT and navigate out of the COVID-19 crisis. Please therefore ask questions, request or offer help, share information, contribute to the discussions, surveys and polls and put forward topics for discussion.

99% of circa 65,000 businesses in Hertfordshire are small companies, sole traders, charities or social enterprises. As a result of the pandemic, most have seen income fall and will have to make redundancies. It could be that many charities, community groups, pubs, restuarants, shops, theatres and music venues face the risk of permanent closure.

It’s therefore more important than ever, for public, private and third sector organisations to work together in a coordinated way to help one another and find solutions. Your contributions will help facilitate this.

  • Our first COVID-19 related survey is below and in due course, we'll be launching more to help understand the impact the pandemic is having on the economic, health and social wellbeing of the county. In the meantime,  we refer you to two current surveys by the Herts Growth Hub and County Council respectively:

Survey on the impact COVID-19 is having on the Herts economy
The main survey that key stakeholders in the county are promoting is found on the Herts Growth Hub's  COVID-19 Resource page.  If you have not already done so, we urge you to complete it by clicking

The main survey that key stakeholders in the county are promoting is found on the Herts Growth Hub's  COVID-19 Resource page.  If you have not already done so, we urge you to complete it by clicking on the link above. To date, only circa 400 businesses have done so out of circa 65,000 in Herts so the Growth Hub needs many more responses in order to obtain a clearer understanding of the impact on the county's economic wellbeing. In turn, this information will help the County Council and LEP draft the economic recovery plan.

Hertfordshire residents' views on accessing health improvement services
Hertfordshire County Council is developing ways to help Hertfordshire residents to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. In partnership with the districts and borough councils, the County Council is delivering Healthy Hubs across the county. Each Healthy Hub provides a signposting/linking service, supporting people to access health improvement services such as weight management support, stop smoking services, mental health support, alcohol reduction support, and support to access Citizen’s Advice Services. Healthy Hubs can also support people to get more active, and to take part in their local community.

Every response the Council receives will help it learn more about people’s current health, what motivates people to access health improvement services, and what might stop them from doing so. It also wants to understand how coronavirus might have impacted on views about seeking advice/support. The survey will take about 5 – 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymous, and no-one will be identifiable. All responses will be stored by Hertfordshire County Council on a secure database until the end of December 2021,

    Our first survey
Please complete below. It should not take longer than 10 minutes to complete. Thanks.
